T42 talking to T60P

#1 Post by JimL » Tue Jan 19, 2010 10:54 am

So now I have a T60P that I'm gradually building up to "speed" while I continue to use the T42 as my primary computer. Both are running XP Pro (altho I have found considerable differences between the two XP Pro's). There are some things about the T60P that I'd like to use in the mean while without actually going over to the other computer. (For instance, for some reason Google maps never zooms on the T42.)

Is it beyond the realm of possibility to run the browser on the T60P from the T42 via networking? So far, all I've found is file sharing, but I am worlds worst at networking.

Remote Desktop / LogMe In / VNC Server will give you what you want. Although it seems to me a pretty awkward solution to an artificially created problem...
