Aluminum shield for T42 HDD - anyone find a part number?

#1 Post by Edward Mendelson » Wed Feb 23, 2005 5:17 pm

I see that there has already been a thread about this subject, but it was quite a few months ago, and I wonder if anyone has found an answer. I'm hoping to keep a second HDD assembly on hand for my TP42, and want to have the aluminum shield/caddy, the black plastic cover, and the HDD itself all ready to go when needed. I've got a spare black plastic cover, but I still can't find the metal shield. The equivalent shield/caddy for the 600 reportedly doesn't fit (though I haven't tried it). Any knowledgeable advice on this would be very gratefully received.

Hiya Prof,

Bill has the brackets for sale, drop him a note.

Don't worry about the picture being a 600 series bracket, he'll send you the correct one.

That is really good to know .. I'll be sure to send searchers his way when they come to me. Under regular warranty situations you would never need one.
