Belkin f8t001 problems?

Does anyone have the belkin f8t001v2 usb bluetooth adapter? i've been having ridiculous amounts of problems with connecting mt T40 with various devices. it seems like it only wants to detect PPC and computers, not phones or keyboards... i tried the adapter in another laptop (dell d600) and it worked great no problem. does anyone else have problems?
