I placed my order yesterday (2nd March). At that time, they didn't have any in stock. Been checking my order status during the day. First the estimated shipping date was the 17th of March. Now its the 14th!

Keeping my fingers crossed.
Just ordered mine, It currently says call for the unit, and the dvd burner. The extra ac adapter I ordered says 3/14, Wouldn't that suck if I got the AC adapter before the machine?

I wonder If they build these things in batches. They wait until they get enough orders of a particular machine before they do a run?

Well, mine is now in the US. I don't know what this status info means on the tracking page.

They're probably all on the same pallet.

just called ups, they have it scheduled for delivery tomorrow. According to the tracking info it still hasn't left KY :( However, I have noticed that the UPS information is only updated once in a while and is not realtime. Don't know if this is true or not though.

I know that receiving a new TP is a very exciting time. And we've all experienced the seeming indeterminable wait for it to arrive.

But is it really necessary to share with us the details of its trip from warehouse to your hands? I hate to be a curmudgeon about this.

If you don't like it don't read the thread. Plain and simple. I only share because there are others that seem to be having the same problem this week.

Actually, no one is having a problem. It sounds like a typical delivery sequence. The shipment gets waylaid for a day or 2 to clear customs. And UPS updates the information daily until the shipment clears.

Baraider

There were many discussions regarding the white pixel. Next time you see it, try scrolling using the middle button of the ultranav or pressing the trackpoint. If the pixel disappears, it's becoz of a s/w glitch in the ultranav drivers.

I almost returned my system, b4 I came to know of this from the X Series dicussions.

baraider: you are a trouble maker.

I had the exact problem before and I felt extremely sad when I saw the "DEAD" pixel. You know I am enjoying the T42 so much.

In my previous post, I said the problem turns out to be a Windows problem.

I had the nb running for several days, only hiberate not complete shutdown. I saw "DEAD" pixel moving around.

After I restarted, it's gone.

Also the pixel's color may change after you run the PC-DOCTOR color testings.

If you move the cursor over a non-white "DEAD" pixel, the pixel color changed to the cursor's color.

So I conclude it's a Windows problem.

Cheer!

just got it. Not a bad pixel to be seen. Screen will take some getting used to due to the small fonts. But I am impressed.
