T43 starts up with screen on lowest setting

My T43 with xp sp3 starts up with the screen in lowest setting while on charger, how do I change it to come up brighter?

In Power Manager create a new or use an existing profile and go into system settings and set the display brightness slider to maximum while plugged in.

Thanks Harry, I'm not sure I would have ever found that one and I've been using a thinkpad for over 10yrs and the first twenty viewers didn't know either. It's tricky even when you get in there, I think you have to make that new profile for it to work but it did the job.
