How is your T42 Combo (DVD/CDR)?

#1 Post by thinhare » Fri Feb 25, 2005 4:40 pm

Although I'd never had a high expectation on a slim CDROM, but I have to say here, it really sucks!! It's so picky on CDs those that have no problem when I feed them to other CDROMs.

Is it that only happening on mine?

Well, whatever your problem is, it certainly wouldn't have anything to do with the drive's physical size, lol...

I don't seem to be having any compatibility issues with mine... Is your drive not accepting a lot of different kinds of discs, or are you trying the same brand?

My CDRW hasn't given me many problems. There was only once when it couldn't read a p-version VCD.

yes, I got some divx movies on some CDs. and I was trying to copy them to my HD. many of them failed in the halfway of copying. then I had to put them into CDROM in a dell laptop and another unfamous brand laptop, both of them read them smoothly. and this is not the only incident of my T42 combo.
