T43 Presentation Director ceased working

I went to make a presentation the other day only to find that presentation director had stopped working. Fn+F7 does nothing. Starting Presentation Director from the Start menu launches PDIRECT.exe which ends up doing nothing.

I have tried rolling back the graphics driver. Nothing, so I updated it again.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Presentation director multiple times. Again, nothing.

Any suggestions??

I am running windows XP, SP3 on a T43 (2668-44u), 1GB ram, ATI Radeon mobility x300
