It should work fine. And Kingston is a good brand.

I searched the forum, many people said Kingston's Value series sucks! I think this one is the value series. Anyone used this model(KVR333SO/512R) ?

KVR in the model number indicates that this is indeed Kingston Value Ram. I would give it a pass.

Wow, value ram with heatspreader?!

If no hassle for return, I'd give it a try.

Yeah I dunno if it will have a heatspreader or not.

I bought two sticks of this at best buy a couple weeks ago. One was bga-type and the other was 'normal'. Neither had a heatspreader. They both worked fine. No crashes or anything.

I ended up returning one since I got lazy and decided the rebate for the second was too big of a hassle. Plus I got a 256mb stick.

Btw as far as I can tell the only notebook memory Kingston has in the Value Series. I didn't look real hard... (Not counting OEM stuff)

I would try it. It's not like you're overclocking or changing mem timings.

Exactly. If you listened to all the stories here and everywhere else, you'd think that non-Crucial (TM) ram has a 90% failure rate. That's just not so. Still, the difference between cheap and expensive RAM is only $30-50 for 512MB, so if you're into peace of mind, that's not too much to pay.
