sleeve for t41p

#1 Post by ndornhoefer » Wed Mar 02, 2005 2:25 pm

Hello everybody,

yesterday I got a T42p replacment PC for my T41p that caused too many probs. As I carry the laptop around a lot and the old one hat scratches and was a bit worn off at the lid edges I would like to protect the new a bit better.

Is there any thin and tight sleeve that can stay on while using the computer?

Gratefull for any hints

Thanks
Nadja

Congrats on the new laptop.
You didn't say if it were 14" or 15".
I wanted the best protection possible for my laptop I purchased the zeroshock 15" which while not a tight fit fits nicely and protects my laptop.
There is also a larger 15" model.

Thanks for the link. I have a 14" T42p now.

Can that sleeve stay on while using the computer. I mean does it have anything to keep it in place even when the lid open, like some elastic bands crossing the edges and attaching it ...?

I bought the grey one last week. I think that one is in stock according to the dropdown box for selecting color.

No it doesn't. I take the latptop out.
But honestly, I want the best protection for my latptop in sleeve.

Here is a rather lengthy review:

Well, for protecting the PC when trasnproting it, I am quite happy with the Thinkpad Backpack I have and also the Timbuk2 LaptopBag. Both seem to protect it really well.

Now I would just need something in addition to prevent it from scratches, finger prints, wear off at the edges from putting it in and taking it out the backpack...

Any idea on that?

I considered the Thinkpad Backpack which seems to have a very nice protection system (look on the Targus site), but I don't want anything that says, IBM, Targus, etc. on the outside because I don't want to invite theft.

The Thinkpad Logo is really small, a theft would barely notice...

I have a Booq Powersleeve, which fits my 14" T41 perfectly.
