3gb ram in t43, board see it but os not

Hi, i tried 1gb+2gb modules of ram in my t43 here is foto of bios here: http://www.mhgangsters.com/~vojjta/pic/IMG_7633.JPG
bios of t43 can see it as is in picture but when i boot into os there is only 2gb instead 3gb or 2,5gb... i am using linux debian kernel 2.6.30 and i tried slax booted up from usb flash drive, he could not see it too... I heard that t43 can only recognize max 2,5 gb... but if t43 can recognize max 2,5gb why he recognize 3gb?

Chipset limitation on T43/p machines is actually 2GB, and that is the usable limit of RAM.

Having said that, many (but not all of them) will boot with 2.5 or 3GB installed.

thx for answer! t43 is good machine... i never thought that something can survive my conditions:) so i must stay with 2gb, it must be enough for some time:)

More than enough I'd say. I also have 2GB in my T43p and can run Win7 & Linux with no issues...
