T40 maximum hard drive size

#1 Post by omdemarseille » Sat Jun 05, 2010 10:10 am

Hi there, I'm upgrading my T40 and was wondering if a Western Digital WD3200BEVE PATA 320Gb HDD will work without a problem? Are these larger capacity 5400RPM 320Gb drives as fast as the older smaller 7200RPM drives? I assume its a good idea to make this upgrade now as I've noticed over the past couple of years that IDE 2.5" drives are becoming small in choice (WD and Samsung now only available through the main online retailers here) and more expensive, soon to be discontinued? Thanks

Yep, that drive will work just fine, and it's fast enough in most users' opinion.

Good luck.
