TWO (!!) QCTRAY.exe processes?

#1 Post by Marc_G » Fri Mar 04, 2005 9:39 am

Hi folks-
All of a sudden I've got two QCTRAY.EXE processes running, whereas I believe it used to be just one. One of them shows my user name (using about 15 MB), the other shows system (about 12 MB).

I'm running the latest version 3.70.

It's operating fine but seems to be taking twice the RAM as before.

Only one entry for it in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

No entry for it in the current user hive.

Any ideas?

I have Access Connections V3.7 running and only 1 QCTRAY process. Consider uninstalling Access Connections completely, restarting and installing V3.7 to see if that helps solve your problem. .. .JD Hurst

OK, I did this and it seems to be working OK now. Just one QCTRAY.EXE process. Thanks. I was initially worried about losing some of the profiles, but it turns out there is an export profiles utility, and the uninstall asks if you want to preserve them as well.

Good job IBM.
