T41 issues?

Hi,
First time here so hello everyone hope u can help me.

I have a T41 2373 and T41 2374
Q1. Can I swap hard drives without reinstalling winxp?
Q2. On startup if I press the IBM ACCESS key it gives me options, does this mean the recovery partition is intact?
Q3. If Recovery Partition is intact is there a way to copy it to the other T41?

Now a Different Q, is the 14.1" LCD from a R31 compatable with the T41 2374?

1.) Yes
2.) If one of the options is Rescue and Recovery then yes.
3.) Yes you can clone one drive to the other using software such as Acronis True Image
4.) Don't know about the LCD

R3x/R4x LCDs have a different connector from the T4x series, and won't work in a T4x.
They do work in a T2x model.

Thank u for the help, just a few more things.

Is there anything I need to do when swapping the hard drives on the T41's or can I just put the T41 2374 HD straight in the T41 2373?

Also will any parts from the T41 2374 work in a R31?

The hard drives are a straight swap. As far as parts, I think the hard drive is about it. The RAM, CPU, and Ultrabay drives are different.

think i might as well get a new bulb or lcd and repair the T41 2374.

I'm gettin good at this IBM fixin, the R31 came of ebay, then a dead donar R31, fixed the 1st just swapping invertors and adding hard drive and memory.

Check out RAM that's in R31. If it's PC 2700(DDR 333) that will work fine in T41. In case it's PC2100 (DDR266) it will work, but at lower speed.
