ACCESS IBM doesn't work

Hello,

Could anyone tell me what would cause this to stop working and how I can fix it myself, in simple terms as I know very little about how computers work.

The simplest method would be to UNinstall Access Ibm.
After that Windows itself will do it, and make a much better job of it.

RBS, I think you are confusing 'Access IBM' with 'Access Connections'. Access IBM when pressed on boot gets the user into the pre-desktop area where you can launch R&R or get into BIOS, etc. When in Windows 'Access IBM' launches a help and configuration system. Access Connections is IBM/Lenovo's tool for configuring and controlling Network access, both wired and wireless. There is a distinct difference. What I would ask the OP is what machine type/model is it that he is having difficulty with 'Access IBM' ?. It is normally installed as part of the factory build on older Thinkpads. The more recent Thinkpads have a 'Thinkvantage' button that launches a utility called 'Productivity Center', which again is a quick launch vehicle for Lenovo's help and configuration apps like 'Thinkvantage System Update' and 'Power Manager'.
