Moving T41 LCD to T43 base (?)

I have with a dying T41 - Southbridge/GPU flex problem. It has SXGA w/ATI Radeon 32MB 9000.

I found a t43 base w/ Motherboard (+CPU/memory - I know they don't swap). It has a 64MB ATI Radeon X300, and supposedly passed all PC-Doctor tests when hooked up to a display and keyboard.

Can I swap the whole LCD assembly onto the T43 base? It appears I can from what I've found. And the X300 should run the SXGA, as opposed to reported mixed success w/ an ATI Radeon 7500. (I checked part numbers, and I can use my T41's hard drive, DVD drive, and keyboard.)

You're good to go, it's a straight swap.

With that said, you might have to update the firmware on your HD to avoid the "2010 error" on T43 and you'll definitely need to re-load your OS.

make sure it is a 14.1 inch t43 base, a 15 inch does not work.
