Will T43P Thinkpad laptop accept a SATA Hard Drive?

My T43 D8U came with a 60GB IDE HDD and I would like to increase the storage capacity. Almost all of the HDD's now available are SATA's. Is there room in the T43 for a SATA with an adapter?

No there is not. The T43 series presents some unique challenges to upgrading the hard drive. See this thread.

How about a Ultrabay SATA hard drive adapter?? Of course that would mean losing the Ultrabay optical drive...

@rkawakami: A good idea to ditch the CD/DVD drive and use ultrabay. I might try this myself. :thumbs-UP:
