Thinkpad T43 Dead

Left my out of warranty laptop locked on the docking station when I went to work, on returning in the evening my laptop was dead, tried to press the power button but nothing happening, am not even getting the charging light lit up. The battery and the power lead are ok as testing them on my daughters T43.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Remove the battery and main power. Hold down the power button repeatedly for 10 repetitions, and hold it down for 30 seconds on the last repetition. Release the button. Now plug in AC power only and try to power up.

If Harryc's suggestion doesn't work (he is a wizard at things so it should work) then PM me if you'd be interested in my T43 1871-FWG. I am expecting my T510 in the next couple of days and once I've transferred everything I plan to sell my T43.

I had already done the power button thing last night to get rid of any static but no joy.......but after your reply I thought I'd gve it another go this morning...............and it started up straight away.
Don't think I'd have done it a second time without your reply so thankyou very much for taking the time to reply to my post.
