require a windows 7 wifi driver for T41

I had windows 7 working on this rugged machine (of course without The fancy GUI).wifi was
also .ok (intel driver for 2100b?).
I used wifi rarely and today i noticed that it is no longer working .Is ther any way to check what is wrong?.
I dont know where and how i downloaded the driver last time(some8 months ++).
I would be grateful to know how to download the driver.
My thinkpad bios is mutilated and cant update through lenovos/IBMs site....

Hi, did you try to connect to internet using Ethernet cable and choose 'Find driver automatically'?

i dont know how to do that....
IBM's thinkvantage doesnot work on my T41 ..because it cannot find its model in bios.And I donot have the guts to rewrite the bios.

yes , Thanks for informing me about windows doing this for me.
It found a TI card bus controller, a modem and printer also.(I never use any of the three).
WIFI is now showing on the display panel and now i will go to a wifi zone and check my settings.

Hmm, what is in my mind now:

1. southbridge failure (not functional miniPCI slot)
2. try to press combination of Fn + F5, perhaps you have WiFi card turned off by this hardware toggle. If yes, you should receive message in Windows informing "New hardware recognized..." then.

download and use the windows xp driver for your wireless card - it will (99.99999% sure) work without a problem.

i used the xp driver for my t41p when i loaded win7 although it seems a little slower than before and the task bar icon is not coloured green it works ok, i am looking for a audio driver although maybe the xp one would work.
