I took my T43P (US model) with me to Europe and it died immediately after I tried to plug in there.
The laptop works fine with battery. But it cannot power up with AC adapter, the green/yellow indicator light doesn't light up. The adapter is not the problem because it works on other laptops.
After searching on line, I suspect fuse F2 was blown. But it doesn't seem to be the case after I dissembled the laptop and did some test. Here are the tests I did:
1. I see 16 volt voltage on my multimeter for DC power input. So the DC power jack functions.
2. The resistence of F2 fuse is zero with and without AC power input.
3. I also measured a few other fuses ( F7, F8, F17). They all seemed to be fine, except one (I think it was F8) showed some resistance, but definitely not completely disconnecting.
4. None of the parts in the DC input area of the motherboard showed any visible damage.
I thought about bypassing the fuse F2. How should i do that? Soldering a wire on both end of it?
So what could be the problem? And what should I do next? Many thanks.

Re: T43P no power
If you bypass a (blown) fuse, whatever (caused it to blow it in the first place) will continue it's destructive path beyond the fuse and destroy other parts. NOT a good idea.
If you suspect F2 to be 'gone', you can solder another one piggy-back style over it.
I would also try to remove the keyboard (but leave it connected), front palm rest and wifi card, and put pressure on the Intel chip under that wifi card, while you try and boot.
If it now boots on AC, you have a loose Southbridge chip.

Re: T43P no power
I did exactly what you said, and it successfully booted. Thank you so much!
