T41P Dies during boot or login or shortly thereafter

Greetings,

I had my T41P (2373-GEU) on yesterday, and when I went over to it and the screen was snowy and machine unresponsive. When I rebooted, it would begin to boot and then just die. No error message beep or anything. After repeated attempts, it does the same thing. Sometime it dies within a few seconds, sometimes I get as far logging into XP before the machine dies and all goes blank although the green battery light stays on as does the one to the left of it (i think it's supposed to indicate machine is plugged in). What do you think the issue is?

I did the take the battery out thing and press the on button 10 times, and no change.
