T42 cloning hard drive for other T42 different model
Hello,
I have currently a T42 2373-A77 (14.1")and I would like to clone the hard drive and install it in a T42 2374-L1U (15.1").
When I just install my current hard drive in the 2374-L1U I have a message no operating system found. My question is: is it possible to do and how. Otherwise I have the recovery CDs and can install a new operating system. Thank you in advance

Sounds like the hard drive is not sliding all the way into the drive slot. Is the hard drive cover seating "ALL" the way into the opening?

Sounds like you're using the wrong hard drive cover. The ones for 15" units are different and have longer "legs" than on 14"...

I used the hard drive cover from the 15 and slide it completely in. Should it work normally? I will try again tomorrow.

Hard drive needs to be upside down (label to bottom) before sliding it in!
