T42 IBM a/b/g/ problem

#1 Post by Leon » Mon Mar 14, 2005 1:37 pm

I have a T42 with the (original) IBM a/b/g card. On some test sites, I get a response from the server of a "duplex mismatch" (I'm half, it wants full). I haven't been able to find a duplex setting anywhere. Anyone?

Try start-control panel-network connections-right click on lan and choose properties-Configure-advanced-full duplex and then set the value to the right.

Thanks! I tried that, but no "Duplex" setting under Advances. :-(

How do you know you are half duplex? Microsoft KB article 214455 discusses full duplex in some situation (not yours unfortunately), but the lack of any duplex setting in our NIC's and in fact, in any Network setting I can see, makes me wonder how you got to be half duplex. I have not had this error, and I have the same card as you. I checked my router (Netopia) and there is no setting for duplex. ... JD Hurst
