DHCP question on T42

I would like to use static private IP address. How to disable the DHCP on the newest version of Internet Access Connection?

When you go about setting up a profile, at the "Edit your TCP/IP Settings" page put the static ip addresses you want where it says "use the following address"

That's it.

I tried, but it pops out an error message "Use DHCP IP address configuration for this location profile"

When you chose the wireless connection, did you choose "Best Available"? If so, you need to set it to either wired or wireless.. not "best available" Then the setting will take.
