strange things are done to your T4x when you are bored

#1 Post by db130 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 1:21 am

while rummaging through my pile of parts tonight, i found a mysterious wifi card that i didn't even know i owned. i googled the firmware on the sticker: FW 24.05.01.00

google says it's a texas instruments chipset wireless g card, p/n TNETW1130GVF, an overseas vendor has one for $6.41+shipping

i tried to download a driver for it but all the links were so old that they were dead, i managed to get the name of the driver file: ti_TNETW1130GV.rar - i googled for that as well and finally found a filefactory.com directory that let me download it

i should also mention that i ran no-1802.com(the iso version) around this time last year and had been running an actiontec minipci that i scavenged from a fios router that had a RALink RT2500 chipset.

booted up the t40 w/ the new wifi card in place, XP asked for driver location which i entered... 5 minutes later i'm back on my wifi network.

time to call it a night...
