cooling T41 32 MB ATI GPU

#1 Post by T400plus » Sat Nov 20, 2010 5:56 am

:? What softwares do that?.I have a much tested T41 from 2005 with cpu ,HD,memory replaced.
while watching mp2 the machine shoots up in temperature .I managed to bring down cpu temprature t a respectable < 50 c by using NHC.

how do control the ATI to show me movies decently.Other graphics on this 32 MB card are not of any serious reuirement.
I usually put 2 small alluminium sinks below the laptop (apprx below the northgate and ATI chip). The sinks were throwaways from some graphics card of a friend.

you have the ATI 7500 GPU on the T41... you should get the long fan, which cools the GPU much more effectively. In order to get the temperature down, you probably have to ramp up the fan speed using softwares like tpfancontrol.
