T22 video problem....help

I have video problems with my T22 recently while playing some files without having any image in it...only sound. When I restart it......it resumes normal, but after a while it the problem comes back again.
I've tried uninstall the video driver and reinstall it back, but it is still the same. SOmetimes, it plays some distorted image......what's happening??
-Thinkpad T23 1.2Ghz (2647-4RG) with Docking Station (2631)
-512MB RAM
-60GB Western Digital HDD
-3Com X-Jack Wireless A/B/G
-Imation External Combo DVD/CDRW
-Windows XP Pro SP2
-External 160GB Maxtor HDD

Does the entire LCD go blank?

Which files are you playing? AVIs? MPGs? WMVs? BMPs? :)
