I´ve had my notebook for a few months (after having switched from the Toshiba Tecra line, grrrr). I use is fairly extensively, crunching spreadsheets, using application development tools and for communications. Wifi is generally always on.
Problem:
Laptop was reading a fixed wireless radiobase transmission rates when the fan stopped working. The machine turned itself off and now only shows "fan error" after the "thinkpad" boot screen. I am currently in Bolivia and have been doing what I can making calls and leaving the notebook with a certified IBM service center.
My request is if anyone can offer some advice as to how to get IBM´s best response. I´ve been given a 20-30 day lead time for them to source the required parts
Any advice is well received and appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mario
