Long term effects of frequent hard-restarting my T43p

#1 Post by Think43p » Sat Dec 04, 2010 8:59 am

Hi,

Im having the issue of constant freezing of my laptop when watching web videos and in the process of getting it fixed but since it began about a year ago I must have Hard-restarted my frozen laptop atleast a 100 times till date, atleast.

What are the long term effects on my HDD/laptop due to the restarts. Anything I can do to undo an damage done?

Thanks all in advance...

The only damage I can think of is possibly to your own data on the hard drive, or you could have crashed a sector or two on it. If it is a concern, run the hard drive manufacturers diagnostic on the drive and see if it passes.

Its a new Samsung HM160HC just about 6 months old...I hope there's no permanent damage done.
