Assign Windows key to Left Ctrl + Alt on T40 ?

#1 Post by frankiepankie » Sun Dec 19, 2010 7:36 am

Hi,

On my FrankenPad, the keyboard doesn't have a Windows key, and i quite miss it, because my T61 does have a Windows key.

Can i install a program that emulates a Windows key if i press both (Left) Ctrl & Alt ?

I found this utility: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 44185.html but i am not sure if that is what i need

I don't think you can assign Windows key to 2 keys, only to one.

Solution: Use CTRL+ESCAPE - Windows built in start menu shortcut
Assign Win key to one of CTR or ALT keys. I have mine on right CTRL on non-Windows key Thinkpads.

You may use KeyTweak to assign one or more of your keys into Windows Key.

Me? I just switched the Right-Alt button to Windows Key, which is good enough for me ;)
