Bluetooth GPS?

#1 Post by JohnV » Sat Jun 12, 2004 7:09 am

Has anyone here researched or used a bluetooth GPS unit wih the T42 yet? Any suggestions on which the best unit out there is? I have looked at one unit from Delorme that look liked it had some good reviews?

http://www.delorme.com/earthmate/bluetooth.asp

Thanks for any info,

John

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I was curious to this as well. Any good bluetooth GPS receivers and software recommendations / web sites?

Hello,

I just got my BT GPS last week and tried it on short routes.
Here is a review that I found: http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/fortuna-clip-on.php

I am using it with my T40p and a routing software called Powerroute 6 pro in Germany. Worked fine so far.

I am planing a trip from Atlanta through TN, NC, SC, back through GA to Tallahassee, FL in October. That's where I hope it'll come in handy.
Last year I made a trip though FL including a short stop at Bill's. At that time I didn't have a GPS, but the DeLorme StreetAtlas USA 2003. This year I am hoping to use the software with the GPS receiver.
So far I have tried that software with the GPS receiver, but since on that software everything other than the US is a white spot on the map I could only record the traces that the software picked up from the GPS.

Best regards,

Jens
