[T41] Power schemes in Battery MaxiMiser are greyed out

#1 Post by frankiepankie » Sun Jan 09, 2011 6:56 am

I installed Windows 7 Professional on a T41 i bought for my grandpa. I installed Battery MaxiMiser on it to provide a clear battery indication.

But when i click on the green battery icon in the taskbar, all the power schemes are greyed out :|
How can i fix this?

Try the Power Manager instead of the Battery Maximizer. It's not "officially" supported on the T41, but it should work.

I installed this one: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-70601 it displays the icon in the taskbar, but when i doubleclick on it, the T41 spits out an BSOD (page_fault_in_nonpaged_area) referring to ati3duag.dll

I read on the forum that the ati3duag.dll BSOD is found often with Windows 7 and ATi 7500. But how do i fix this :|

In the meantime i have installed Windows XP Professional on it, because my grandpa is waiting for the laptop, and i don't know if this powermanager issue will ever be fixed.

I created a ghost image of the win7 installation, so if it ever get fixed i can easily revert to windows 7

I already tried that (the last reaction is mine  )

XP is also working good, and my grandpa doesn't notice the difference between Windows 7 and XP (the 7500 can't handle Aero so it looks ugly anyway  )
