T40 hinge replacement vs lcd replacement

My T40 made the trip to Quebec with my son and returned with a broken left side hinge. My FRU is 2373-47U and I want to know of my options for a screen upgrade. Looking for a straight swap, lid for lid. My current lcd is 1024 x 768. Thanks, Keith

Is there something wrong with the LCD itself? The hinge is a part that can be purchased and replaced separately.

No issues with the screen. Just curious about an upgrade. Also are the screw cover stick-ons a readily available part?

You can upgrade to a 14" SXGA+ LCD. The screw covers are readily available on EBay.
