Looking to purchase a ThinkPad T43p

Hey all.

This post probably doesn't go here, but I recently lost my T43p and I really want a new one. The T43p model is especially difficult to find on eBay or craigslist, since it is a highly regarded laptop. What happened was I was at the rescue squad (I am a volunteer EMT) and my station was dispatched for a call and my T43p was stolen when I left it behind. I have been searching for weeks, and have finally given up.

I originally paid $225 for my T43p, and am willing to pay just as much, but no more than original price.

If whoever is willing to sell one, I only request that you post recent pictures of the computer so that I may determine if it is properly cared for (mine had no marks on it whatsoever, I love my ThinkPads) and that the pictures include a shot of the screen and the computer in operation.

Specifications would be greatly appreciated, mine were Intel Centrino 2.72GHz 512MB RAM 80GB HDD, 14" LCD, Fingerprint reader, etc. If yours do not match, that is fine, as long as you can guarantee that it works 100%

One last request: if you have accessories that you would like to include, such as a wireless or external mouse, I would be willing to purchase those too, seeing as the poor soul who took my ThinkPad took my entire case too with everything in it.

Please, no holding back! my promise to the seller, I will take care of it as if it were my own child!

NOTE: I may not be able to buy it right away, I am a bit busy most of the time, and I do not have the money at the moment, but I just want to see if anyone is willing so that I have some options on where to buy.

Nice find Harry.

However the OP stated he was looking for a 14" model. However for the price the seller is asking and the screen resolution, this 15" model is priced attractively. If I were the OP I would definitely be taking a good look at this.

But the specifications are a bit higher than mine, but cosmetically, mine and the one posted are so similar.

I might just buy the one on eBay when ever I get that kind of money.

FYI: the seller in question is a well-respected member of this forum under the same user name...you may want to PM him and see whether he'd hold it for you...
