T43p battery LED question

#1 Post by Alejandro Audisio » Mon Jan 17, 2011 9:34 pm

OK, so I Googled and have some information on this but Im still unsure of what is going on.

I have a 6 cell battery that makes the Battery LED blinking... but the blinking goes on even if I have the machine turned off and want to charge it... normally, the blinking would go away after a few seconds and then the indicator would turn Yellow until it charged up.... but now it just blinks green... is my battery dead..??

The link below give me some information, but Im not sure its relevant to my case, or....?

Thanks,
Alejandro

That does sound like a dead battery. You won't know for sure until you test another one.

Do bear in mind that running a ThinkPad with a dead battery will eventually damage the charging circuit on the motherboard. You're much better off having no battery installed.

Good luck.
