CD drive won't latch or close

HI,

I have had a T42 for the last six months. It has been a great machine
but today the door of the slim ultrabay CD-RW/DVD would not
close. When I took the drive out a little white piece plastic fell out.
I'm not sure if the latch that kept the drive closed broke and the white pieces
are the remainders or they just came off and I just need to put
it back in place.

I will welcome any ideas or suggestions.. ok the obvious, to get a new
one I can sort figure out on my own.
