ThinkVantage Active Protection Recommended Settings

#1 Post by doodles113 » Wed Feb 16, 2011 8:54 pm

Hello,
Is there any recommended configuration for the ThinkVantage Active Protection?
Even with the slightest movement, the disc is suspending and resuming, and it worries me that behavior may be not healthy for a disk already well used as mine is.
In control panel, shock detection sensitivity is set to middle. Is this correct?
Any ideas/hints?

Thanks in advance
Eduardo

The default settings are fine (and fine for the long haul). It does not hurt it to suspend when moved (had not hurt any of my machines in some years) and there is a setting to adapt to repetetive movement. You can set that, but I think it is set by default. .... JDH
