T42 Bluetooth driver Windows 7

Hello all,

Just picked up a T42 from a forum member, did a fresh install of W7 and can't seem to get the Bluetooth driver for it. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Tried the Lenovo site and Windows update to no avail.

Have you tried running the Windows Update?

Yes and it does not recognize it. I only have that sole unresolved device in device manager.

Try the XP driver and see whether it will fly, have no other ideas at the moment...

I played with this awhile back and was having only a little success.

However I was able to install Nokia Ovi Suite which installed the necessary bluetooth drivers to access my Nokia cell phone. Not sure how useful this would be for other bluetooth features and profiles.

Note with the Hotkey utility driver from Lenovo, you can press Fn + F5 to access the dialog to turn the bluetooth radio on. IIRC, after the bluetooth radio is on, Microsoft should install some basic bluetooth drivers from the internet. You might have to go to Windows update, but I don't think so.

Oh… Nice one, pressing function + F5 also did worked for me. I think it’s a general hotkey for these kind of computers is it?
