Hy, does it give a Doublelayer-DVD-writer for the Thinkpad T41 ??

sorry, but for your Thinkpad, there is no such (DL) drive. The only way to achieve this is to have an external one.

No way to tell, it is not on the current product map. In any case, not for a good while.

hhh, the problem is with the very slim drive bay on the T4* series....this makes the drive 9.5mm tall. Most other Thinkpads (570, 600, T2*, T3*, X2*, X3* etc. series) and other manufacturers use a taller drive bay and allow 12.7mm tall drives. The taller drive is made by so many competitors that there are some very good options, but for multi-burners that fit the T4* series, currently we know of only 2 options in the entire world... Panasonic/Matshita UJ-812 and UJ-822. Neither of these are double layer (UJ-812 only burns - and RAM, the UJ-822 burns all formats, but at 2X for - and 2.4X for +). Most T4* series owners here are eagerly awaiting new 9.5mm drives that do much more than the currenly available drives.

as noted above, the UL-22 is more flexible and somewhat faster for +, but NO DL.

this is very very bad or me because i wanted to be mobile with my notebook but when i have an external case i won't to be mobile, or??

Es gibt überhaupt nicht eine double layer Digitale Videoplatte brenner fur den T4X maschinen!
