2 OS on 2 hard drive

I plan to keep the winxp on the main HD that come with my TP and take out the DVD drive then put in my extra HD on the minibay where i plan to install linux on it....

would i have any problem dual boot if i have 2 hd in there.

If i take the linux hd out and put back the dvd drive and boot, would i have any problem?

Anyone try this before?

The only problem I see would be if you removed the linux drive and then booted and at the boot menu selected to boot from the linux drive.
That might cause a hanging problem.
