Seeking comments re the different display resolutions

#1 Post by pae77 » Wed Mar 30, 2005 10:18 am

I'm starting to think (dream) about my next TP. I currently have a T30 with the 1024x768 pixel display. The fonts and size of everything on the display seems about perfect to me, but I do work with photos alot and would like to have higher resolution in my next TP. But I have heard complaints about how tiny everything is with the higher resolution. I do a lot of word processing too. Would like to hear some feedback about how the higher resolution displays are for general business work.

The best way to answer your question is for you to check out a 14" 1400x1050 panel yourself at a store.

IMO 1400x1050 isn't terrible on a 14" display. It might take some getting used to though.

Definitely look at one. I think that 1400x1050 is GREAT on a 14" display.

I myself consider it just perfect, a singel pixel is just big enough for me to be able to perceive it from as far as I can still reach the keyboard with my hands. I'm talking about the 14.1" model, as it seems to be the perfect size for mobility and features (CD/DVD compared to X-series).

And I do my "perceiving" with contact lenses/glasses with -4 rating, so not your avarage eagle-eyes :)
