Is the T42p more prone to overheating than a regular T42 running at let's say 1.7GHZ?
If it is, do you think that's because of the 2.0GHZ or 2.1GHZ Dothan processor it uses which was ahead of it's time and the rest of the machine, especially the fan, was not designed with enough forethought to dissipate the heat of such a fast CPU?
I searched the forums and haven't yet found any discussion of T42p being more prone to overheating than any other T42. Having owned an HP and worked on some Dell laptops with ridiculously "fast" sounding speeds (2.4 or 2.8GHZ)- older Pentium 4 type models I'm referring to, not duo core- they seem to burn themselves out and overheat and end up on the auction block "as is." Was this because there was a race between the various manufacturers to advertise that their model had an even faster processor than the next guy but their architecture and CPU heat dissipation technology wasn't yet up to par (and able to handle such a fast CPU)? Just wondering what your thoughts are on this issue.
If excess heat becomes an issue, then would a more powerful fan from any T43 work on a T42p or would it have to be a T43p fan as discussed here:

Besides changing the fan and applying new thermal compound, some other quick tips on keeping excess heat at bay and from becoming an issue on these machines? New battery? New AC adapter? Certain BIOS settings? Certain settings in Windows XP control panel? Putting in a certain type WIFI card (are their certain kinds that stay cooler under use on a T42p?)
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated,
