Maybe some of you are interested in this.

- performance gain
- some systems can use performance gain only on external monitor
- uses ExpressCard on T4x

Lots of info is available to explore.
I think this DIY eGPU is better than ViDock or Asus solution.

I am looking at doing a GTS 450 ViDock with my T400 using a PE4L, running Optimus for better performance and displaying on the internal LCD. It's on my list of upgrades behind an SSD, so by the time I do it a better card that fits my requirements may be available.

BTW, thanks for linking to that thread. That's where I got the vast majority of my info, and nando4 has been great in maintaining it.

Just recently I upgraded to SSD and it works great. Great performance boost. I strongly recommend Intel SSD.

I wish I had Intel graphic so I could use optimus and internal LCD. Good luck.
