Little electrical problem with IBM T43, element L (Pic Warn)
Hy, i just joined this forum, i thinked that may here can somebody help me, first of all sorry for my English, im from Estonia. I Bought a IBM t43 what didnt worked, the charger was repaired uncussessfully and the fuze was broken, i replaced that but i messed up a little thing, i searched a picture, the smaller red line is the broken part.
I have a another ibm t43 x300 motherboard, i tried to change that but i messed it up. That part should be element L, passiv ? The guestion is that, is there more things like that on the board and where i can find that?

now i found the missing part, but the next problem is that if i pull out the charger then it thinks that it still charge, broken controller ?
Re: Little electrical problem with IBM T43, element L (Pic Warn)
Yes. The 8-pin chips near the ac input are the power transistors (mosfets) for that part of the power circuitry. They are VERY sensitive and easy to damage by static electricity.

Hmm, you mean they what i can see on the picture ? I think that the charger wires came together, because somebody has tried to repair it, but then the fuse usually are only broken. Maybe i gived them static, when i changed the fuse
