Any difference upgrading from 512MB RAM to 768MB?

Hi all,

as a follow up on the other thread...I'm now on 2x256MB RAM, was thinking of replacing one with a 512MB, so in total i'll get 768MB... I need the upgrade to run some simulation program (AutoDyn to be exact) ... will I see any significant improvement on performance?

or should i just save the money.... just should replace the 2x256MB with 2X512MB.... the price of a single piece 1GB is just too high for me to bite the bullet!!!

Depends on your need. If during your routine use you do not go over the amount of RAM that you have I would not upgrade it.

Check how much RAM your simulation software eats up.
