WUXGA in a T43 or R51
Hi there
For the last 4 years I have been using a 15.4" WUXGA (1920x1200) equipped Dell D800, which replaced a T43p.
The D800 has finally failed (but provided superb service) and I am recycling the components.
The 2.5" Drive and 2 x 512MB SO DIMMS went into an 15" R51 I have (Intel GPU).
I still have that beautiful WUXGA screen 15.4".
Can I use this in the R51 (15" Intel GPU) or the T43 I am waiting to arrive (GPU unknown) or even the A31?
It would be so great if I could. In fact it would really be a great thing for me. But not sure if it is even possible!

How do you propose to fit a wide panel in one of those 4x3 lids? Even if the cables were compatible, which I doubt they are, I can't imagine any way to make it physically fit. Plus the R51 GPU will only support XGA, so that's out anyway.roguetrooper wrote:Can I use this in the R51 (15" Intel GPU) or the T43 I am waiting to arrive (GPU unknown) or even the A31?
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

oops I am a bit silly.
I just compared the size. it looks like a no go. I was focusing more on the 15.4" aspect, but you are right. Highly disappointing.
Thankyou anyhow. It looks like I'll be sticking with XGA for the present!

You have an A31 which will run SXGA+ or UXGA screen, both of these IPS...doesn't get much better than that.
If your T43 is a 15" ATi unit, it can do the same.
