As the title states, I'm planning on upgrading my T40p from the A/B to the A/B/G First Gen WiFi card.
I know the T40p WiFi card is theoretically not user-serviceable due to the Torx screws, but I'll take care of that.
My question is: What order should I do this in?
For example: Do I uninstall the A/B drivers, uninstall the A/B card, install the A/B/G card, and then install the A/B/G drivers?
Or is there something else to be done?
Also, is there going to be any issues regarding IBM Access Connections? Currently, on my TP, there is version 2.62 installed. However, I can't even tell if I'm using it or not.
Should I upgrade to 3.70 after installing the new card & drivers?
Thanks for any & all help. I'm confident when it comes to hardware, not so confident, and downright clueless, when it comes to software
