Restart after shutdown or when disconnected from ACDC

I have a very strange issue:

My laptop (T43) restarts in two specific situations:

1. It restarts after shutdown (except when I pull out the battery first)
2. When in sleepmodus or when it is shut down, the t43 will restart as soon as disconnecting it from it's power supply. (except when I pull out the battery first).

I tried another power supply and an other battery pack, both without any effect.
I updated bios & EC: no effect.
I checked power settings: checkbox "auto restart @ system failure" is unchecked


specs:
- Windows 7, 2 Gb internal memory.
- BIOS version just updated, no effect (1.29)
- Embedded Controller just updated, no effect (1.06)




Which guru can solve this challenge?!

I have the same exact issue and have tried everything. It is very annoying. Did you ever find an answer?
