ssd interface compatibility

hi,

i'm expecting a nice t43p from george with the sata mod and i'm looking for an ssd for it. i noticed that most ssd's have sata 2 or sata 3 interfaces, will this be compatible with the t43p(sata 1 i'm assuming)?

INTEL X25-M 80GB SSD SSDSA2MH080G101 are selling at around 100$ on ebay. it has sata 2 interface.

I have a SATA 2 hard drive in my wife's modded T43p, so that should work for the SSD as well...although the transfer rates will be at lower speeds.
