T440s Touch (large pics)
T440s Touch (large pics)
Date of manufacture: 06/2014.
In my opinion, probably one of the best-looking laptops ever made. It turns a lot of heads (and not just because this one has the touchscreen!)

Working in Starbucks with a friend this morning on a website we're coding together with a sausage butty and a hot chocolate.

And I find that the easiest way to show groups of people content on my laptop is to just fold the screen fully back and use the touchscreen. It's a bit fiddly, yes, but works well enough.

For as poor an ultranav device it is... there's a minimalist aesthetic appeal to that touchpad.
Re: T440s Touch (large pics)
I've used these 2013/2014 ThinkPads for 4 years now and never had a problem with the clickpad design, but clearly it wasn't favoured as the following generations had the traditional buttons again. The only significant downside in my opinion is it can be quite loud. I remember when I got my L540 I hadn't used a TrackPoint for years and years and I was a bit unsure about the clickpad at first, but I soon got used to it and now it's perfectly straightforward and natural for me to use.
I owned an L540 for nearly 4 years, have owned my T440s for several months and used to service/use a fleet of E540s at work.

Re: T440s Touch (large pics)
I got my first T440s few months ago, I got it with a broken LCD and actually was planning to put a spare FHD panel I had and then give it away, but I actually ended up liking it. Apart from the KB layout...
It's thin, sturdy, quite easy to maintain, has nice LCDs choices, two batteries, and after swapping the touchpad for a proper 5 button model I not only ended up keeping it, but got a second one as well, again with a busted LCD ...
Nice pics btw!

Hey we're background brothers lol. I have the same one. Great pics and I agree, that's an amazingly well designed laptop. It's timeless design really.Tasurinchi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 3:58 amI got my first T440s few months ago, I got it with a broken LCD and actually was planning to put a spare FHD panel I had and then give it away, but I actually ended up liking it.
