I actually got several of these, I think the only systems I've ever used the word "mint" to describe.

They are rare T500 units with the T9900 cpu, switchable graphics and SSD drives.

They have a special 5year warranty where you don't even need to turn in your harddrive to get a replacement...


One of them needed to go in for service, and Lenovo is cheerfully sending me a new SSD for free, all I had to do was ask

Booaaaahhhh... These are really big bad @$$ pics!! I had to switch to my WUXGA screen and I still have to scroll horizontally to see the whole picture

looking at these pics with an xga screen is quite an adventure! I didn't even know what some of the pictures were of because it was all black!

Absolutely stunning machine, quite a find! I hope you are keeping at least one for yourself!

While your enthusiasm about this absolutely nice find is completely understandable, any narrow bandwith user of this forum definitely will be unable to understand why it should be so hard to just insert some smallish thumbnails which link to these annoyingly large images on some suitable image hoster.

Maybe you would be so kind as to remedy this ASAP?

Thanks guys, and yes, definitely keeping one of these... and sorry about the huge pics, I know they are big even for this section, but it's nice to the detail up close so I wanted to share them full size. What you can do is "right click" on them and (depending on your browser) select something like "open in image in new tab" and your browser will scale it to fit your screen.

Also, I had just cleaned this machine before taking the pic, but it's funny to see ever particle of dust so clearly on the photo, when I couldn't see them at all in real life lol I guess I need to use some magnification when I clean one next time lol

No training wheels necessary for T61 users. It's a machine I'd be happy to be stuck with.

Unfortunately, interest does not equal cash on hand. Beautiful machine, though.

Very, very, -very- nice find. Believe me I'd be interested except that I already have a similarly-specced T500(except for that awesome T9900).
